Ministry of Care Ministry of Care is a pastoral program for the homebound, hospitalized, and those individuals in nursing and/or personal care and assisted living facilities. This ministry proceeds from the healing grace of God and the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. The care of shut-ins is an integral part of our parish family. Our aim is to minister with care and compassion always respecting the dignity of the individual. We are the living Body of Jesus Christ; we are called to be the hands, feet, the eyes, the ears, and the voice of Christ as we follow His example in our ministry. A mutually satisfactory time for visiting is arranged between the minister of care and the care receiver. The Minister of Care aims to be pleasant, cheerful, and a good listener. Wholesome conversation, prayer, and the reception of Holy Communion comprise the time of visitation. The pastor's visits take place during the Advent and/or Lenten Seasons (or whenever requested). Father administers the sacraments of Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, and Holy Eucharist. Please call the parish office if you or a family member would like a visit. |
