Senior Adult Ministry

            The Catholic Foundation of the Diocese of Greensburg has awarded Region 1 a grant to develop Senior Adult Ministry (SAM) in the region and beyond.

            Seven parishes are participating in this project.  They are: All Saints (Arnold), Christ the King (Leechburg), St. Mary (New Kensington), St. Margaret Mary (Lower Burrell), Mount St. Peter (New Kensington), St. Joseph (New Kensington), St. Vladimir-Ukrainian (New Kensington).  A Steering Committee has been formed with representation from each parish to coordinate this effort.

            Aging is a faith journey.  Senior adult ministries are concerned with providing opportunities for Senior Adults to share their gifts and talents and with helping to meet the needs of older members of the parish through spiritual and social programs and outreach activities.

            SAM will offer opportunities for...

  • Spiritual enrichment to nurture our seniors desire for spiritual growth

  • Learning on issues and topics of interest to seniors

  • Serving and being served through outreach services
